Desert Friends
Desert Friends is a Joshua Tree-based collaboration between Antrom Alexander, Lucas Penner, and Cody Rhodes, featuring Kyle Hanson on percussion and John Hebert on bass. Their sound blends surf, Middle Eastern, and spaghetti-western influences into something expansive, cinematic, and hypnotic.
My role is to create the visual world around the music. Across album and single artwork, vinyl packaging, concert posters, merchandise, and branding, each piece stands on it’s own while still belonging to the same larger story.

Inspired by the desert, vintage western printmaking, surf culture, and surreal symbolism, the artwork was designed to feel less like a collection of graphics and more like stepping into the world behind the songs.
